Abstract

This study has made an attempt to understand the socio-economic conditions of migrant workers of north Karnataka in Bangalore (North) district, salary paid to them and to understand how the present government policies help in the upliftment of migrant workers. This has been achieved through collection of primary data through the usage of questionnaires, to better know the conditions faced by the migrant workers in the new location Descriptive research was adopted with a total of200 respondents across north Bangalore. Mainly, for this research primary data has been collected through questionnaires, from various locations in north Bangalore. To analyze the data Microsoft Excel has been used. Findings from this research provide a comprehensive conclusion on migrant workers living conditions in north Bangalore. This analysis can be usefulforfurther research, and government officials can also use it to understand the problems faced by migrant workers in north Bangalore.
